UC/ESA50

If you get Universal Credit and you cannot work because you are disabled or have a health condition, you will usually get an extra form to fill in. The form is called the ‘work capability questionnaire’ or UC50.

You will also have to fill in a work ‘work capability questionnaire’ or ESA50 if you make a claim for Employment and Support Allowance.

These questionnaires follow the same format and serve the same purpose: assessing your capability for work based on your health and limitations.

If you have you received a UC50 or ESA50 form and are not sure where to start, this short video and our UC50/ESA50 guide is here to help.
